The Oracle Users Group Evangelists of AIOUG (All India Oracle Users Group) in the region are organizing an “Oracle Community Yatra (OCYatra)” event in July 2022. This event is going to organize across six cities in India, i.e. Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi & Hyderabad.
This will be the Face-to-Face conference. This conference is designed for deep technical sessions, master classes, Fireside chats, keynotes and Oracle ACE Community.

In this session we will cover, Oracle Optimizer over the years, it has evolved into a very complex being. In this session, we will take a deep dive into the world of Optimizer Internals. We will begin with understanding how the optimizer works, what are the parameters that control its behavior, how they can help with optimizing a SQL Execution and their impact on performance.
Along with this, we will also explore the various myths around these parameters and clarify how they work in reality!
We will also take a look at the way in which the optimizer has evolved over time, the various new enhancements with the latest releases like 19c and 21c, and its behavior on-premises, on the cloud, including the Autonomous Databases.
